In a heartwarming gesture the Arizona Cardinals took to Instagram to remember Pat Tillman; their fallen teammate who gave his life in service to his country in Afghanistan.

We salute all who have sacrificed for our country, including the great Pat Tillman. 🇺🇸

The Cardinals post featured a photo of the Pat Tillman Memorial. The memorial includes a bronze statue located on the grounds of University of Phoenix Stadium on a section known as Pat Tillman Plaza. The caption of the post read as follows:

We salute all who have sacrificed for our country, including the great Pat Tillman. 🇺🇸

Many current and former members of the Cardinals organization take time out to post their thoughts and feelings about Pat. One such posting came from 2016 rookie-free-agent Lamar Louis:
Louis, a linebacker out of Louisiana State University shared a graphic containing one of the most iconic images of Corporal Tillman from his playing days with the Arizona Cardinals. Lewis expressed his feelings with one thought-provoking word, “Salute.”

With all the speeches and fanfare that rightfully comes with Memorial Day, it is the simplest of gestures that sometimes moves us the most.

Salute
